In The Hunchback of Notre Dame, Phoebus’ horse is named Achilles. At one point, Phoebus commands, “Achilles, heel!”. This line is a pun on the phrase “Achilles’ heel”, a term for a person’s weakness (which itself derives from Achilles in Greek mythology, who was invulnerable except for one heel; the Achilles tendon in the ankle is also named for this).

Frollo’s hand is getting quite close to her boobs… >.>

I’ve been happy with how on-model the characters have looked so far.

Yeah.  Esmeralda is super pretty.  And I was kind of curious how Frollo’s weird face would look rendered sort of three-dimensional.  Better than I thought.

this looks so damn fantastic!

Disney / Pixar Fact !

disney-facts-mistakes:

Muntz is the fifth animated Disney villain to fall to his death (following the Wicked Queen Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs, Ratigan The Great Mouse Detective, McLeach The Rescuers Down Under, Gaston Beauty and the Beast, and Frollo The Hunchback of Notre Dame). He is the first Pixar villain to do so. It’s also noteworthy that Scar The Lion King falls, but he doesn’t die from the fall; he falls into a pit of hyenas, and the hyenas kill him. Additionally, Lucifer the cat Cinderella fell to his apparent death but was brought back in the direct-to-video sequel, Malificent Sleeping Beauty falls after being mortally wounded with a sword, and Mr. Clayton Tarzan falls after fighting Tarzan, but actually dies by being hanged by vines.
